A brief overview of the Fund's activities in 2022.
In September 2022, the Akosua Fund was able to provide health care insurance for 265 children.
Our project manager, Jacinta, went to Fume to represent the Fund. She also brought drinks and donations for the children
Sylvanus scored 8 A1 at Waccse. He cannot afford University. We registered him at UCC. He was admitted of course! The fund will pay for his 4 years studies and accommodation
Your support and contributions will enable us to make real changes. Every little bit counts!
The Akosua Fund is my legacy to Ghana, the country that has shown me so much love and appreciation.
The fund will benefit children and youth through projects in the communities that I am already committed to.
Ghana has given me so much and The Akosua Fund is my way of giving back to the country that I consider my second home.
Through the Fund, and with your help, I will continue to support children and youth, in the communities that I am already involved in, as they are the future.
The Akosua Fund is a donor advised fund, hosted by the reputable Ghanaian children’s charity OAfrica which has 20 years’ experience in the field and carries out the projects. The Akosua Fund is funded by me and you, and indeed every donor who wishes to support our actions.
I was the French ambassador to Ghana from 2018 to 2022.
During my tenure I developed links with several communities in Ghana, the first of them is Fume, in the Volta region.
I was enstooled Development Queen Mother of Hani and named Nana Benneh III, and enskinned Napoka Amaltinga Apoka, Development Queen Mother of Bonobutu.
Finally, I was enstooled Development Queen Mother of Osu, under the name Naa Norley Owaa Oman the 1st.
After the end of my mandate as an Ambassador I decided to carry on supporting the children of these communities.
I will concentrate my efforts on communities where I already have a commitment :
💙 Hani Begho, Tain District, Bono Region, where I was enstooled Nkosuo Hemaa, Development Queen Mother and named Nana Benneh III;
🤍 Bolgatanga, Bonobutu, Upper East Region, where I was enskinned Napoka Amaltinga Apoka, Development Queen Mother of Bonobutu;
❤️ Fume, Ho in the Volta Region, a village my family has created close links with.
Funded by myself and private donors, the fund will finance small projects for children in these communities.
The way we will operate is through a project manager who will assess the need and impact of each small project. The evaluation of budgets/invoices will be done by the Fund to ensure the money is fully and directly funding the chosen projects.
